July 29 by Dandrew Cruda
The following is a recap of the live broadcast provided by Salesforce entitled The Road to Dreamforce. The broadcast focuses on a different topic of discussion every week and for yesterday’s live episode on July 28, The Road to Dreamforce gave us more information about how partners and sponsors will be highlighted throughout the conference. Be sure to tune in on Tuesdays at 11:00am to catch a new live broadcast every week to help you prepare for Dreamforce.
As Dreamforce 2015 inches closer and closer each day, we are getting more information about what to expect at the biggest tech conference in the world. A huge part of Dreamforce is the abundance of partners who will be at the event on the expo floor, presenting a session, sponsoring the entire thing, or all of the above! According to Leslie Tom, the Vice President of Partner Marketing at Salesforce, ten years ago there were only 3,000 registered partners. Today? There are 150,000 registered partners expected to attend, both online and on-site. With the dramatic increase in partners over the years, Dreamforce is prepared to highlight them in significant ways.
Here are 5 reasons why partners should be excited for Dreamforce:
1. Enter the Partner Zone
There is no better place to meet, network, and enjoy the company of other partners than the Partner Zone. This year, the Partner Zone will be located at the Park Central Hotel, just a short walk away from Moscone North – two blocks to be exact. This is where you will be able to talk to other partners, Salesforce Alliances employees, and touch base with the partner community overall. You can also take this opportunity to discuss new technology and how business is transforming for the future. If you’re a partner attending Dreamforce, I suggest stopping by the Partner Zone every day of the week… heck, maybe every hour.
2. The New Addition of Daily Partner Networking Events
Remember that Partner Zone I told you about? Well, another big reason why you definitely must make your way over there is to attend the newly added daily partner networking events. These events will be taking place throughout the week between 3pm and 5pm. Each day will consist of a different selected them – September 15 will be a Luau theme, September 16 will be a Global theme, and September 17 will be a Fiesta theme. Be sure to prep your outfits accordingly
because these events are going to be guaranteed fun.
3. The Cloud Expo Floor
Well, this is an obvious one. The Cloud Expo will boast plenty of partners in Moscone West and Moscone North during the week. This is your chance to showcase your products and speak to customers, prospects, and business professionals in the ecosystem. I expect a ton of great booths, intriguing design and dozens of giveaways – considering that Apttus is a Titanium sponsor this year, keep an eye out for the flood of green that will be displayed on the floor as well…
4. The Partner Appreciation and AppBash Parties
It wouldn’t be Dreamforce without a party to end the day. There will be a Partner Appreciation Party on Wednesday, September 16 at 7:00pm at the City View in the Metreon. But that’s not all – stick around afterwards for the AppBash party. Back to back celebrations? Not sure what else can be more fun. Partners are definitely going to enjoy themselves as the partner community celebrates their success on the platform and on the AppExchange.
5. The Overall Dreamforce Experience
Being a partner at Dreamforce is something to be excited about in itself! Partners will be almost everywhere – in the Partner Zone, the Admin Zone, in over 80 sessions of content, and more. They will also be hosting or attending numerous parties over the course of the week. As a partner during the largest tech event of the year, you will be able announce new product information and get in front of everyone that’s important for your business – your customers.
