It is now officially 2017, and with the New Year comes a new lineup of must-see Microsoft events. 2016 was a year of exciting growth for Microsoft and the Microsoft Ecosystem – with customers coming to embrace many of the innovations, such as the cloud and AI, which are driving the digital revolution. As there is no shortage of events this year to attend, it is a must for forward thinking professionals to begin the decision process. To help on this front, we did all of the research for you, and produced below a comprehensive list of can’t miss Microsoft events for the Microsoft Dynamics customer.
Much of the story of 2016 focused around Dynamics 365 – and you can expect the story to stay centered there in 2017. There is tremendous excitement around the Microsoft Dynamics community – a community which is only set for explosive growth – and this excitement can be immediately observed in the events slated for 2017. No matter your area of focus in the Dynamics Ecosystem, or your role within your company, the events below provide unparalleled opportunity to learn about the latest Microsoft innovation and trends. The events below are in chronological order.
Must-Attend Microsoft Dynamics Events of 2017
Dates: March 12th-15th
Location: Seattle, WA
Do you work in operations? Do you work with Dynamics 365? If you answered yes to both then Dynamics 365 Tech 17 conference is for you. The Tech conference allows users to interact directly with Microsoft Engineering, the people that build Dynamics 365 for Operations. The General session speakers at this year’s conference are Mike Ehrenberg, CTO in the Business Application Platform and Intelligence organization, and Sri Srinivasan, General Manager for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations in the Cloud and Enterprise Group.
Dates: March 13th-17th for partners; 16th-17th for customers
The second event on this list located in EMEA, eXtreme365 is focused on helping the Microsoft Dynamics CRM community maximize the impact of their CRM. The conference is split into 2 main focuses, eXtreme365 for Partners and eXtreme365 for customers. For Partners is focused on any partner “starting or growing a Dynamics 365 practice” and has been expanded to address the entire Microsoft Intelligent Business Cloud. For Customers, eXtreme365 is a 2 day event with content geared towards technical know-how to get the most from the current Dynamics 365 solution. The event is also held in Newport, CA – however the dates have yet to be released.

The Summit EMEA is a peer-to-peer focused Microsoft Dynamics CRM conference. If you are looking to attend one conference this year in EMEA focused on networking and user adoption, then Summit is for you. At this year’s event, MS Dynamics users and partners will lead sessions, showcases, and how-to’s on all versions of the Dynamics footprint – AX, NAV, CRM and Power BI. The Summit EMEA is hosted by Dynamic Communities – the world’s largest community of MS Dynamics users.

CRM Magazine’s conference, CRM Evolution promises to bring together over 60 speakers in 40 sessions, on topics created to drive the ROI of your CRM investment. FOCUS ’17 is a two day event covering specific Dynamics software products – and is the User Group event devoted to advanced-learning of MS Dynamics. AXUG & CRMUG are the focus concurrently on May 8th-9th, while NAVUG and PBIUG are the focus on May 10th-11th. FOCUS allows attendees to customize their learning path based on their individual persona and needs.

Inspire is the largest event in the Ecosystem for Microsoft partners, and as such it is the cant miss Microsoft networking event of 2017. Microsoft communities are a major part of Inspire, and attendees will have the opportunity to join and hear directly from community leaders, and engage with community members around the world.

reIMAGINE is the only conference on this list dedicated to learning and educational opportunities for Microsoft Dynamics GP Partners. The conference, hosted on the Microsoft Campus in Fargo, ND, will hold content for developer, technical and consultant roles. During this event, you will hear the latest in Dynamics GP developments, insights and expertise that every member of your team, from sales to executives.

The Directions North America conference is the channel-driven event focused solely on Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Directions is built by NAV partners for NAV partners. Microsoft is shifting their Envision event – the largest Microsoft event for business leaders – to be part of Microsoft Ignite on Sept. 25th-29th.
