Analysts have taken the view of separate market spaces as discrete with each space having their own set of providers. Yet from a customer’s perspective, if the data being entered once goes through one extended process, regardless of which space, then they should be considered as a single continuous process. Apttus customers have been asking Apttus to provide true end to end capability across the commitment management continuum which usually spans different spaces. For example, after a salesperson quotes to a customer, a contract process is invoked – 80% of the data is shared so they should be considered as part of an extended space. This is the same enterprise process from the organization's perspective. Yet the software market often thinks about these as two separate spaces processes. Engage: Whether you are buying or selling, there are a number of processes that lead to a corporate commitment. For example, in the sales process, creating a quote or proposal or responding to an RFP is a typical step before organizations make a commitment to each other. Apttus provides a number of modules in both buy-side and sell-side that allow the trading process to take place efficiently and with complete data capture - for sales or procurement or any other business function.
Commit: The commit step usually takes place at the end of the engage cycle. Typically a contract is created and negotiated and needs to be managed. Apttus provides a number of modules enabling these processes to be managed efficiently – including anything from document creation, negotiation and electronic signature all the way to dashboard visibility and reporting.
Comply: Ensuring terms that have been negotiated are being achieved, is critical to the completion of any process. Apttus provides a number of modules that allow for the complete compliance of contracts and commitments.
