In just a couple months, Dreamforce 2015 will take over the streets of downtown San Francisco. During that time, places such as Moscone Center, Century Theaters at Westfield, the Palace Hotel, and more will consume the field of vision of the thousands in attendance. However, amazing sessions, influential speakers, and a fun night with the Foo Fighters are just a few experiences that San Francisco has to offer that week. With Dreamforce giving each of us a reason to spend time in the city, it would be ideal to step away from the masses and explore.
Here are 5 of the top unique places in San Francisco to visit while you’re in town for Dreamforce:
1. The View at the Marriott
Located atop of the San Francisco Marriott Marquis, the View Lounge is the perfect place to unwind from all the excitement as you enjoy great drinks, delicious food, and some amazing views of the city. Word around the street is that the View Lounge is going to be the place to be at Dreamforce. But don’t take my word for it. Check it out for yourself.
2. Top of the Mark
This iconic rooftop lounge is located on the 19th floor of the Mark Hopkins hotel. Top of the Mark offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the city and a dance floor. Eat some great food, have a few drinks, then party the night away while snapping selfies with the amazing backdrops provided out the windows.
3. Wave Organ
4 miles way from Moscone Center is the Wave Organ, a wave-activated acoustic sculpture made out of PVC and concrete located on a Jetty in the San Francisco Bay constructed from material taken from a demolish
ed cemetery. Make sure to check for high tide as the sounds created are best then.
4. Crissy Field
Offering one of the best views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Crissy Field is a former U.S. Army airfield now open to the public as part of an urban national park. Whether you’re sitting on the grass or taking a walk on the trails, Crissy Field is a great place to not only be a part of history but also live in the present.
5. Lands End Labyrinth
For the outdoor enthusiasts, Lands End offers numerous hiking trails. Located off one in particular, the Coastal Trail, is a hidden labyrinth complimented by breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Marin Headlands, and out to open sea.
If you find some time to step away, try to visit one of these places. But don’t worry if you can’t, there is always next time. Nonetheless, Dreamforce offers a wide variety of opportunities to live, learn, and let go with San Francisco being the perfect destination to do so.
